Here at The Window Film Company, we know that how a window film looks is a key consideration. Whether glazing is in a residential or commercial setting, the aesthetic impact of any glass modifications is important. One of the most frequently asked questions we get on this subject involves how film, usually heat or glare reduction film, will look from the inside.
The answer is straightforward.
The majority of heat and glare reduction window films supplied and installed by The Window Film Company will allow for a view from the inside out during daylight hours; delivering high performance levels without sacrificing excess levels of natural daylight and protecting that precious daytime view.

The films work on a simple but highly effective premise. During daylight hours, the film’s external face takes on a reflective or mirrored appearance, with this effect serving to bounce away a percentage of the sun’s solar energy. The exact amount will depend on the film chosen, but by reflecting away a quantity of heat before it can pass through the glass, the film will help manage the build up of excess heat inside the property.

Glare can be a year round issue, with the changing position of the sun potentially making it difficult to comfortably focus. The simplest way to describe how window film helps in this regard, is to imagine a very light pair of sunglasses for your windows! The film will filter out the harshest of the light (again, the levels will depend on the film selected) helping to ensure a more enjoyable internal environment.

The example images shown provide examples of the internal view out following an application of solar control and glare reduction film from The Window Film Company. In each of these instances, the film has been installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s fitting teams, but the full range of films are available for DIY purchase in our buy online section.
