Charity and Fundraising

After being founded in 1998, The Window Film Company have always had headquarters in Buckinghamshire. Now with additional premises in Birmingham and London, the Company has continued to grow but has always remained committed to supporting the local area.

One of the tangible ways in which The Window Film Company has chosen to play a part in the local community is via involvement with a range of charities.


The Chilterns Dog Rescue Society

The Window Film Company is proud to be a sponsor of this fantastic charity. The Society specialise in rehoming dogs, taking care to match would be owners with a suitable pet.  Fully reliant on donations and volunteers, the Society has found homes for over 18,000 lost or unwanted dogs since being founded in 1963. The Hospice of St Francis

The Hospice of St Francis was founded in 1979 with the purpose of providing palliative care to patients and families living with a terminal illness in the local area. As well as providing care in the Hospice itself, nurses now support 350 patients a year in their homes, with a supportive care team providing additional help via visits and phone calls. The Hospice has yearly running costs of £3.7million, 80% of which comes from donations and fundraising. Rennie Grove Hospice Care

Rennie Grove provide a 24-hour responsive Hospice at Home service as well as a range of other support services for patients and familes based in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The organisation is the result of a 2011 merger between Iain Rennie Hospice at Home and Grove House and The Window Film Company is proud to provide support by being a corporate partner as well as taking part in fundraising events on the charity's behalf. www.renniegrove.org

The Children’s Trust

The Window Film Company is proud to be a Corporate Partner of The Children’s Trust; the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury. The Trust provides rehabilitation, education and community services to provide help and support to children, young people and their families. DENS

DENS aims to be the first port of call for people in Dacorum that are facing homelessness, poverty and social exclusion. The help DENS provides includes access to short-term and temporary accommodation, as well as organizing access to emergency food and provisions for individuals and families in need. The overall aim of DENS is to provide support for individuals, allowing them to take positive steps in their lives, ultimately becoming active members of the community. www.dens.org.uk

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People train hearing dogs to help alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds that they would otherwise miss – sounds that many people might take for granted, such as the doorbell or danger signals such as alarms. A hearing dog can make a huge, life changing difference to a deaf person, providing independence and confidence while also providing loyalty and companionship. www.hearingdogs.org.uk

Fundraising

As well as continued support for a number of charities, staff from The Window Film Company regularly take part in fundraising events. All staff take part in the annual “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” event, raising money for Macmillan cancer research by baking and then selling a range of delicious cakes whilst a number of colleagues have also taken part in sponsored events including the “Rat Race” and “Mud Pack Challenge” to raise funds for local charities.
