PRINT AND PRIVACY - GRAPHICS ON FROSTED FILM

Frostbrite frosted window film from The Window Film Company is a popular and incredibly versatile product, used in a wide range of situations to deliver a stylish and contemporary look for glass. 

As the name suggests, frostbite frosted window film gives glass the appearance of frosted, acid etched or sandblasted glass when installed, serving to block the view from both sides of the glass while still allowing excellent levels of light to pass through the glazing. The film looks great in its standard finish - the frost effect providing a contemporary look that is suitable for both residential and commercial applications - but also provides an excellent surface on which to print; an option that was fully utilised for this eye-catching project.



The requirement was for 8 large panes of custom created, full colour graphics that would deliver both privacy and a striking, professional look for the premises.

The client was able to provide the artwork that had been prepared for them, with this passed on to The Window Film Company’s print and graphics team. The in-house team were able to use the dimensions of the glass to provide accurate proofs for approval, before using state of the art printing equipment to print the colourful designs onto the Frostbrite frosted film.



The nature of the film combined with the high quality printers meant that the graphics were created in pin-sharp detail, providing an impressive and eye-catching appearance, with the frosted appearance of the base window film serving to deliver the requisite privacy.



Each of the eight large panels were computer cut to ensure a perfect finish, before being checked by hand and installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert fitting teams.

The finished result ensured that the glass frontage was transformed from standard glazing to delivering a stunning, full-colour display, combining with the stylish footed finish of Frostbrite to add the necessary two-way privacy.
