Window Tinting

Window tinting for windows in the home, office, conservatory or apartment

Window tinting can be applied to almost any type of window and glass, with both internal and external grade films available. We offer a full nationwide installation service, whilst all of our tinted window films are also available on a supply only basis.

Commercial window tinting

Window film installations in offices and commercial buildings are usually carried out by The Window Film Company throughout the country. Our teams of window film installers are fully qualified and vastly experienced and able to carry out professional standard installations, whatever the size or location of the job.

  • Solar control can be achieved as a result of tinting your windows. An application of window film can reflect away large quantities of the suns’ energy before it enters the room, making it a far more effective and cost efficient solution than traditional methods such as blinds. Solar control film is available in a range of tints and finishes.
  • Energy Efficiency is increasingly important for businesses and window tinting can help. By helping to moderate the temperature, window tinting can also help reduce energy costs by reducing the strain on air conditioning units. This can also help lower the carbon footprint and emission levels.
  • Privacy is another benefit of window tinting. By applying window film, it is possible to achieve daytime one way privacy, preventing vision in whilst maintaining a view out of the premises.
  • Glare and fading can be an issue in commercial properties, with sunlight often making it difficult to focus on screens and colleagues. Window tinting will help, by still allowing light through glass, but cutting out a high percentage of glare. Tinted windows also help stop fading, with window film cutting out 99% of UV rays – one of the major causes of fading.

Residential window tinting

Using window tint films in the home is a very cost effective and straightforward way to solve a number of heat and light related domestic issues.

  • Heat can be an issue in any property with windows, and by reflecting away a proportion of the heat before it enters your home, window tinting is an effective way of making sure your home remains at a comfortable temperature.
  • Conservatories can often be too hot to enjoy, with a large glass or polycarbonate roofs allowing a lot of heat into the room. By applying window tint to the roof, it is possible to make sure your conservatory remains at an enjoyable temperature.
  • Privacy can be achieved with an application of window tint. Daytime privacy can be achieved with the application of a reflective tint, which will prevent vision in, whilst allowing a view out.
  • Fading is caused by heat, glare and UV rays, and window tinting can block out over 99% of UV rays, helping to protect furnishings and belongings from the effects of fading.
  • Glare can be an issue all year round, with bright light making it difficult to read or watch TV. Window tinting will take the edge off the brightness without making it dark, allowing you to enjoy your home free from glare.
