The Window Film Company offers a range of specialist window films, offering solutions to a range of specific issues and requirements. Once such film is Amber 81; a product that delivers the ultimate in UV protection. This film was supplied and installed by The Window Film Company at an Oxfordshire based laboratory, where the blocking of UV rays in the low visible light region was an essential requirement. Read on for more details of this fascinating project and the benefits of Amber 81 and UV reduction film.
Amber 81 is a specialist film for the ultimate in UV protection. It has been specially developed to be spectrally selective, designed to block UV light into the low visible light range, filtering out potentially dangerous or harmful wavelengths without blocking natural light or the view.
This film is particularly useful for use in environments such as clean rooms, hospital operating room or, as in this case, a research laboratory in Cambridge.
The work carried out in certain parts of the premises meant that the highest possible UV protection was required, with Amber 81 the chosen solution. Samples were sent to the client, allowing for a full appreciation of how the film would look when applied along with a full briefing on how the film works and what it achieves.
With the installation agreed for a time that meant the application could take place with the minimum of fuss and disruption, it was carried out by a team of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified and vastly experienced installers, ensuring that each of the 80 panels was installed perfectly and flawlessly.
