TRANQUIL TRANSFORMATION WITH PRINTED FILM

Printed graphics are an eye-catching, stylish and impressive way of upgrading glass. Adding printed window films to glazing can provide an extra decorative flourish, branding elements or serve as signage, and The Window Film Company are experts in their creation and installation.

There are a number of window films that are suitable for printing onto. For example, printing onto an optically clear window film is a popular choice for shopfronts, where owners would like an element of branding or design on the glass, while still allowing for a view to the inside of the premises – and vice versa. When complete privacy is required, it is possible to print onto solid vinyl, delivering a bespoke privacy solution that will not only block the view, but light as well.

Another popular film for customizing is Frostbrite frosted film; The Window Film Company’s high quality, long lasting, stylish and durable film for transforming standard glass to have the appearance of acid etched or frosted glazing. The film is popular as it delivers a stunning look, is a cost effective alternative to replacement glass, delivers privacy without sacrificing high levels of natural light and, crucially for this project, can be cut or printed to deliver a custom made, bespoke appearance.

The requirement was for a full colour, full length privacy film for internal doors and glazing throughout a London office. It was agreed that the imagery, supplied by the client, would be printed on Frostbrite frosted window film, with the image printed with a double strike finish – effectively meaning that the image is printed twice to ensure a bright and vibrant finish.

The print was completed at The Window Film Company’s HQ, with the gap between each pane and panel taken into account to ensure that the image flowed perfectly when installed. The printed film was fitted by a team of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified and vastly experienced installers, with the finished project delivering a striking, professional, welcoming and impressive privacy and décor solution for glass.
