GOING RETRO WITH REEDED

The look of reeded glass has seen a surge in popularity, with the art deco style increasingly desirable in both residential and commercial settings. The textured appearance of reeded glass delivers the added benefit of a stylish privacy solution, obscuring the view without blocking natural light.

EVOKE reeded window film from The Window Film Company delivers all of these benefits, but without the need for expensive replacement glass. The film simply needs to be applied to standard glazing and the transformation is immediate and spectacular.

The film was installed to 15 panels throughout the premises, immediately delivering a stunning new look while also delivering privacy.

Adding this film also ensured that manifestation marking requirements were met. Manifestation markings are required by Building Regulation in relation to glass of a certain size – usually large panels of glazing such as partitions and doors. These markings are required to make glass easily visible, in turn preventing potentially nasty accidents and damage. Any markings must provide a contrast with the background to ensure that they are immediately visible; this application of reeded window film served that purpose in a stylish and attractive way.

The result of the installation ensured that standard glass took on the appearance of reeded glass, with the project completed with the minimum of fuss or disruption and for significantly less outlay than the cost of installing original reeded glass.
