EMBANKMENT MANIFESTATION

Manifestation markings for glass are required by Building Regulations and are designed to avoid nasty accidents by making large pieces of glass (usually partitions and glass doors) easily visible. One of the key requirements of glass manifestation is that it provides a contrast with the background. This stipulation is in place to ensure that the markings are quickly and easily apparent. It’s for this reason that Frostbrite; The Window Film Company’s frosted window film, is a popular choice for manifestation markings.



Frostbrite frosted window film immediately gives glazing the appearance of sandblasted or acid etched glass; a contemporary and stylish look that blocks the view from both sids of the glass while still allowing excellent levels of light to pass through. It’s therefore hugely popular as a privacy window film, but is also a natural choice for manifestation.

For this project, manifestation was required for an office in the Embankment are of London. With existing graphics already on the glass, it was agreed that a simple approach to manifestation would be taken, with a 900mm plain band of Frostbrite frosted window film applied across almost 8 linear metres of glass.

Once in place, the film met the necessary manifestation requirements while also delivering an added element of privacy, with the subtle yet pleasing appearance of the film complementing the existing graphics on the glass.

The film was installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert fitters.
