The Window Film Company supply and install a range of high-performance window films to help combat excess temperatures and to reduce the heat inside your home, office or conservatory; all without blocking excess levels of natural light or the view from the inside.
During periods of warm weather the internal temperature can rise quickly. Untreated windows allow heat to pass through the glass, constantly adding to the internal temperature. This can be particularly acute where there are large expanses of glass or glazed roofs; common in conservatories and can quickly make rooms uncomfortable; sometimes even unusable.
An application of window film will slow down this steady build up of heat and help deliver a more enjoyable internal temperature.
The film works by effectively reflecting away a percentage of the sun’s energy before it can pass through the glass and add to the internal temperature.
This is achieved by the film’s reflective appearance. During daylight hours the film takes on a silver or mirrored appearance, bouncing away solar energy before it can pass through the glass. While the exterior face of the glass will appear reflective, a view from the inside out is still maintained, while the film will also not block excess levels of natural light, meaning that you can enjoy the view and the summer sunlight without struggling with excess heat.
This installation took place at a residential property, with the film chosen called High Reflective Silver. This is one of The Window Film Company’s most effective heat reduction window films, rejecting up to 78% of the sun’s solar energy. In addition to helping cut down on heat, the film also reduces glare by up to 79% and will block up to 99% of the sun’s potentially harmful UV rays - the primary single contributing factor to fading.
The film was fitted throughout this property by a team of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified installers, with the window film applied to the internal face of the glass to ensure its longest possible functional life.
The film was effective immediately, with the external appearance taking on a stylish and contemporary mirrored look during daylight hours, with heat and glare reduced without sacrificing the daytime view out, or natural light.
