REEDED FILM AT ST GEORGES PARK

The Window Film Company is proud to have completed a project as part of ongoing developments to St George’s Park - the home of all 23 England National football teams.

Based in Staffordshire, St George’s Park was built at a cost of £105m and officially opened in 2012. The facility boasts 330 acres in size, 14 football pitches - including an exact replica of the Wembley Stadium surface and a 228 room hotel. The facility is constantly evolving to deliver an elite experience, and as part of this, the Window Film Company were engaged to fit window film to two newly created areas.



The project required the installation of two different types of film; reeded window film and Frostbrite frosted window film.

Reeded window film is a popular, stylish, impressive and cost effective way of giving glass the classic look of reeded or fluted glass. The effect, hugely popular in the 70’s, has made a huge comeback, with the retro inspired, chic appearance proving to be a popular decorative addition, while also being a super stylish privacy solution.



The film is flat to the touch, but takes on a ridged appearance that delivers the iconic reeded look, while also obscuring the view from both sides of the glass without sacrificing natural light. The film can be retro-fitted to standard glass, making it an ideal way of updating not just the look of the glass, but also delivering privacy when needed - all without the need for expensive replacement glass.



The reeded film was applied to a number of panelled doors in a newly created part of the St George’s Park facility, with the film delivering a contemporary look - entirely in keeping with the high end feel of the venue.

Elsewhere on the site, The Window Film Company applied Frostbrite frosted window film - another popular, stylish and effective window film for privacy. As the name suggests, the film gives glass the appearance of frosted glass when in place, blocking the view from both sides of the glass, while still allowing excellent levels of natural light to pass through the pane.



Both types of films were installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert fitters, with both the reeded and Frostbrite frosted window film delivering the requisite style and necessary privacy.
