FROSTED FILM FOR BRANDED MANIFESTATION

The Window Film Company uses state of the art printing equipment to create custom graphics from high quality window film. In turn, these can be used for a range of purposes including branding and signage, privacy and manifestation.

Manifestation refers to markings that are placed on glass to make the glazing quickly and easily visible, preventing potentially dangerous accidents. Depending on the size of the glazing, manifestation markings can be required to meet Building Regulations – usually on large pieces of glass such as partitions and glass doors.

On this occasion The Window Film Company was engaged to deliver a manifestation solution that also provided an element of privacy, while also incorporating full colour branding.



One of the most popular window films for manifestation is Frostbrite frosted film. This is a long lasting and durable window film, supplied and installed by The Window Film Company to give standard glass the appearance of frosted or sandblasted glazing. The film not only meets the requirements of manifestation (namely that any markings provide a clear contrast with the background) but it also provides a perfect surface on which to print.

For this project, the client provided the artwork they required, which featured the company name and logo in full colour. This allowed The Window Film Company’s in-house graphics and print team to recreate the branding by using wide format print equipment. The film was then cut to the exact size required, before being installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert installers.



Once in place, the film met a number of criteria. Firstly, it met manifestation requirements by adding clear markings to the glass at the locations required by Building Regulations. Secondly, as the film was placed on glass partitions, the band of film delivered an element of privacy for those working the other side of the glass. Thirdly, the printed graphics gave the office a professional and stylish appearance, by adding the company branding to the glass and incorporating frosted window film.
