MANIFESTATION, PRIVACY AND BRANDING IN HARLEY STREET

The Window Film Company are experts in the print and installation of custom created graphics for glass. These eye-catching creations can be used for a range of purposes, including décor, signage, privacy and branding. They can also be used to meet manifestation requirements.

Manifestation markings are required by Building Regulations and are necessary to ensure that glass is easily visible. They are required on glass that meets certain specifications, usually large panels of glazing such as partitions or glass doors.

The job of the markings is to make sure that glass is quickly distinguishable, in turn serving to avoid accidents. Therefore, the markings are required to be of a specific size, must be present at certain positions and should have an appearance that has an obvious contrast with the background.

As long as these stipulations are met, manifestation markings can provide an opportunity to be creative and to meet other requirements. For this project, at a Harley Street office, it was decided that the manifestation markings would also operate as branding and decoration, as well as delivering an added element of privacy.

This was achieved by printing the company logo in full colour onto Frostbrite frosted window film.

Frostbrite is The Window Film Company’s high performance frosted window film, designed to give glass the appearance of frosted glazing once applied. The effect is super stylish and cost effective, delivering the appearance of acid etched or sandblasted glass at a fraction of the cost of replacement glazing.

Frostbrite frosted film can also be printed on to deliver a custom finish, and that’s exactly what was done to ensure the desired end product, here. The Window Film Company’s graphics team printed the company logo onto a band of Frostbrite frosted film before it was installed across the centre of glass partitions and doors throughout the office.

The addition of the printed branding elevated the space in terms of appearance, added an element of privacy (Frostbrite frosted film blocks the view form both sides of the glass) and also met the manifestation marking requirements set out by Building Regulations.
