The Window Film Company supplies and installs a range of heat reduction window films, designed specifically to help protect your conservatory, home or office from excess heat. This includes a specialist product for polycarbonate, meaning that if your conservatory has apolycarbonate roof, you too can beat the heat during warmer weather.
This polycarbonate specific product was used in this client’s conservatory in Kidderminster, complementing additional heat reduction window film that was applied to the side windows to deliver the best possible protection against excess heat.
Supertint for Polycarbonate was applied to the internal side of the roof by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert installers, cutting each piece on site before trimming it exactly to size. Once in place the film is effective immediately, rejecting up to 76% of thesun’s solar energy, reducing glare by up to 76% and also blocking up to 99% of the sun’s potentially harmful UV rays.
To provide additional performance, Medium Reflective Silver window film was applied to the side windows in the conservatory. This film works in a different way to the polycarbonate product, with the reflective external appearance of the film serving to bounce away solar energy before it can pass through the glass and add to the internal temperature.
Medium Reflective Silver film has a reflective external appearance during daylight hours (thea ppearance of the film depends on the light balance – if it’s brighter inside than it is outside, the reflective appearance will be on the inside) so it also delivers a daytime privacy solution as well as reducing excess heat, glare and blocking UV rays. This latter benefit is of particular interest as UV rays are the single biggest contributing factor to fade damage.
With both films in place having been expertly installed by The Window Film Company’s fitters, the protection from excess heat began immediately; achieved without sacrificing natural light, or the view to the outside.
