GOING FOR... BRONZE!

The Window Film Company offers range of heat reduction window films, each with a different appearance and performance profile. The film chosen for this project was from the Solar Bronze range of high-performance solar control films. As the name suggests, the external face of this film has a bronze appearance, with the reflective sheen of the film serving to bounce away a percentage of the sun’s solar energy before it can pass through the glass and add to the internal temperature.

The film offers a range of other benefits including fade protection. This is achieved by blocking up to 99% of the sun’s potentially harmful UV rays - the single biggest contributing factor to fade damage. While this film won’t eradicate fading entirely, it will serve to slow down the process, helping to protect against costly damage to upholstery, furniture, belongings or equipment. 

Solar Bronze window film also serves to reduce glare; one of the primary reasons for the installation at this Greater London premises. Glare can be a year round problem, with the changing position of the sun and the resultant light streaming through glass and making it difficult or uncomfortable to focus. An application of this window film will filter out the harshest of the sunlight, immediately reducing the glare and delivering a more comfortable year-round internal environment.

As the images of the completed installation show, all of these benefits are achieved without sacrificing excessive levels of natural light or blocking the view.

The film was applied throughout the premises by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert installers, with the work taking place at a time and date agreed and organised by the dedicated Operations team.
