TREMENDOUS TARNSFORMATION WITH RADIANT RAINBOW

Window film from The Window Film Company is an effective solution for a range of glass-related issues such as heat reduction, UV protection, safety, security and privacy. It can also be used for decorative purposes, changing the appearance of glass without the need for expensive replacement glazing.

The Window Film Company was approached by a London-based studio facility, where a number of large expanses of glass required a visual transformation. It was agreed that two different types of film would be utilised for the project; Frostbrite frosted film and rainbow coloured film.

Rainbow window film is available in a range of bright and vibrant shades, providing a cost-efficient and highly effective way of changing the colour of glass; without blocking the view or sacrificing natural glass. Once the film is in place the appearance of the glass is changed immediately, with the option of using multiple colours or sticking to a single shade.

For this project, a striking Fuchsia colour was chosen for one area of glass, with a vivid blue chosen for the second. Both expanses of glazing formed large glass lift shafts, so by transforming them to feature bright, bold colours they were converted into stylish and attractive features at the front of the building.

Elsewhere, primarily on stairwells, Frostbrite frosted window film was applied. As the name implies, Frostbrite gives standard glazing the contemporary appearance of acid etched or frosted glass, also serving to block the view from both sides of the glass. It’s striking, professional appearance means that it is a popular choice for both privacy and decoration, as evidenced by the post-install images shown here.

The installation process required the stripping of existing film first, with both the removal of the previous, unwanted film and the fitting of the new products completed by a team of The Window Film Company’s vastly experienced and fully qualified installers.
