FROSTED FILM FOR LOWRY LOWER PANES

The Window Film Company is proud to have completed further works at the iconic Lowry Hotel in Manchester.

Following an extensive installation of high-performance heat and glare reduction film earlier in the year, this project required the application of Frostbrite frosted film to the lower panes of a run of windows in a communal part of the hotel.

Frostbrite is a high quality, high-performance frosted window film from The Window Film Company that gives glazing the stylish, contemporary appearance of sandblasted glazing – at a fraction of the cost!

The frosted film is designed to be retro fitted to glass, with an internal application the most desirable, as this prolongs the useful life of the film. Once in place, it instantly transforms the glazing to look like acid-etched or sandblasted glass, delivering privacy from both sides, without sacrificing high levels of natural light.

For this project, the film was fitted to the lower panes of a large expanse of glass in a public part of the hotel, delivering a stylish finish and extra element of privacy.

This window film installation was part of a wider project at the hotel, which had previously seen The Window Film Company install solar control and glare reduction window film to bedrooms throughout the large and popular hotel. In the case of the solar control film, this works by reflecting away (the film takes on an external mirrorerd effect during daylight hours) a percentage of the sun’s energy before it can pass through the glass and into the property, adding to the internal temperature. The film also filters out the sun’s harshest light, helping to reduce glare, while also blocking up to 99% of the sun’s potentially harmful rays.
