Sometimes simplicity can be the best solution. Frostbrite frosted film from The Window Film Company provides a prime example of this, delivering sleek, contemporary privacy, suitable for use on glass in any situation.
This project saw the application of Frostbrite frosted window film across a number of glass partitions and doors in a newly renovated office space in London. On this occasion, the film delivered two solutions – an element of privacy and also ensuring that manifestation marking requirements were met.
Manifestation markings are required as part of Building Regulations and are necessary to make glazing easily visible, preventing potential accidents and damage. The regulations dictate that markings must be present at specific locations on certain types of glass (usually floor to ceiling panes such as partitions and glass doors) and must provide a contrast with the background. Frostbrite frosted window film from The Window Film Company does exactly that.
Frostbrite gives glass the appearance of acid-etched, sandblasted or frosted glass, delivering a stylish finish that blocks the view from both sides of the glass without sacrificing natural light, while also delivering the contrast required to meet manifestation requirements. The film can be cut or printed on to create bespoke patterns, graphics, signage or branding, but for this project it was decided that a simple Frostbrite band would deliver the most suitable appearance.
The film was applied to the glass by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert installers, with the date agreed between the client and The Window Film Company’s dedicated Operations Team.
Once in place the film was effective immediately, delivering on manifestation requirements while also providing an element of privacy for those working the other side of the glazing.
