GOING RETRO WITH REEDED WINDOW FILM

Reeded glass was hugely popular in the 1970’s and like so many trends and styles of the past, it is currently back en-vogue. The original effect was achieved by using textured or ridged glass, with the undulating surface of the glass surface serving to deliver an iconic look while also delivering privacy – obscuring view from both sides of the glass without sacrificing natural light.

The window film has been specially developed to give glass the appearance of reeded glass, perfectly delivering the textured, ridged appearance without the need for expensive replacement glass. Designed to be retro-fitted to glazing, it is the perfect way of giving glass an immediate and stylish upgrade that can meet style, privacy and manifestation requirements.

This project saw the film applied to 13 large panels of glass throughout the premises, with the film installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert fitters. Once in place, the glass was instantly transformed from standard glazing to taking on the appearance of super-stylish reeded glass.
