CUSTOM GRAPHICS, HEAT AND GLARE REDUCTION

Dec 08 2023

The Window Film Company offers a range of window films and printed solutions to meet a number of requirements in a wide array of locations.

This project saw the print and installation of custom, full colour graphics as well as an extensive application of High Reflective Silver window film for heat and glare reduction.

High Reflective Silver is a high-performance film that delivers a multitude of benefits, including UV protection, glare reduction and solar control. During daylight hours, the external face of the glass takes on a mirrored appearance, serving to reflect away a percentage of the sun’s energy before it can pass through the glass and add to the internal temperature. This is achieved while maintaining the view out during daylight hours.

High Reflective Silver also helps to reduce glare, which thanks to the ever-changing position of the sun, can be a year round problem. The film filters out the harshest of the light, and can reduce glare by up to 79%. A third benefit of this multi-purpose window film is protection against UV rays. By rejecting up to 99% of these rays, high reflective Silver can help slow down the effects of fade damage (UV rays are the biggest single contributing factor to fading).

High Reflective Silver was installed throughout the premises to a number of large panes, with the work carried out by a team of The Window Film Company’s vastly qualified fitters. Once in place, the film is effective immediately, providing high performance protection against excess heat and glare.

The second part of this project saw custom created graphics installed at key locations throughout the premises. The images were supplied by the client and printed in large scale, full colour by The Window Film Company’s in-house graphics and print team.

The graphics were printed onto Frostbrite frosted window film, a tough and long lasting window film that gives glass the appearance of frosted glass, making it a popular way of achieving two-way privacy. The film also provides an ideal surface on which to print, as evidenced by the finished effect here.
