CUT FROST FOR MANIFESTATION MARKINGS

The Window Film Company uses state of the art cutting technology to create eye-catching graphics; ideal for branding, decoration and signage for glass.

Custom created graphics are also a stylish and professional looking way of meeting manifestation markings. Such markings are required on glass of a certain size (usually floor to ceiling glazing such as doors or glass partitions) and are needed to ensure that glass is easily visible; helping to avoid accidents and collisions. The markings are required by building regulations and include a number of stipulations:

1)      The markings should be present at two levels. Between 850mm and 1000mm and between 1400mm and 1600mm above the floor.
2)      The markings should provide a contrast with the background, ensuring they are easily visible in all lighting conditions.
3)      The markings should take the form of a logo, motif or graphic at least 150mm high, or a decorative feature (such as a band or dots) at least 50mm high.

That opportunity was taken by this client, who asked The Window Film Company to use their logo to meet manifestation requirements.

The artwork, featuring the company name and logo was supplied by the client, and it was agreed that the best way of delivering the desired look while also meeting manifestation needs would be to cut the design from Frostbrite frosted film.

Frostbrite gives glass the appearance of frosted glass once installed, in turn providing the contrast needed for glass manifestation. By computer cutting the design from the film, a stylish, eye-catching and professional appearance was assured, while the manifestation markings required by Building Regulations were also in place.
