The Window Film Company offer a wide range of high-performance window films, including a collection of films specially designed for safety and security purposes.

This project involved the application of clear security film to a range of display cases in a popular jewellers. Safety and security window film is available from The Window Film Company in a range of grades and finishes, each with a different performance level ranging from upgrading glass to meet safety requirements all the way up to bomb protection solutions.

The film used in this project is clear, making it ideal for use on display cases, where it is important that visitors are able to see and inspect items, while still making the valuable contents secure.

Once in place, the film provides a virtually undetectable layer of protection, making the glass harder to break in the first case, before subsequently holding broken glass together and in position. By holding broken shards in place instead of allowing them to fall away or in on themselves, the window film serves to make unauthorised access to display cases much harder, crucially ensuring that the cases can’t simply be smashed, the broken glass removed and the contents of the case removed.

The film, a 175 micron solution, was also installed to the glass frontage of the store, with the same rationale applied; the film was required to provide an added layer of security without blocking the view for potential customers.

The fitting was completed by a team of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified and vastly experienced installers, with each piece of film carefully trimmed to ensure a perfect application to each glass surface, with the end result being an almost invisible layer of protection for a shop that is home to a host of incredibly valuable stock.
