FEATURING FROST FOR MANIFESTATION

The Window Film Company has completed two projects highlighting the suitability of Frostbrite frosted window film as a bespoke solution for manifestation requirements.

Manifestation markings are required by building regulations on glass of a certain size; usually glazed partitions or doors, and are necessary to make sure that the glass is clearly visible – serving to avoid accidents. The regulations dictate that markings should be present at certain points on the glass, should be of a minimum size and must provide a visual contrast with the background.

While manifestation markings can take the form of standard designs like dots, squares and bands (available on a supply only basis here: https://www.windowfilm.co.uk/buy-online/manifestation) a need for manifestation also provides an opportunity to add bespoke graphics to glass, elevating the appearance of glazing with custom made branding elements or graphics.

One of the best films for delivering manifestation is Frostbrite frosted film. One applied, it gives glass the appearance of acid-etched or sandblasted glass, making it ideal for delivering the necessary contrast between the glass and the background. It can also be printed onto or computer cut to create designs or logos; a choice made by the two examples shown on this page.

The two variations, both cut and prepared by The Window Film Company’s in-house graphics and print team before being installed by one of our fitting teams, show what can be achieved when using cut Frostbrite as a manifestation solution.

The first option saw the company logo cut out of frosted film and applied to the glass, with the logo repeated at the necessary height across several glass partitions.

The second option was the reverse effect, with the artwork cut from the Frostbrite and the film applied to the glass, with the clear areas forming the design.
