GEOMETRIC MANIFESTATION

Manifestation markings are required by building regulations on glass panels of a particular size, usually on glazed doors or floor to ceiling partitions, with the aim of ensuring that the glass is clearly visible, in turn serving to prevent possible accidents.

Manifestation markings need to be positioned at specific sizes on the glazing, with the positioning designed to ensure that they are quickly and easily visible. In terms of appearance, the markings need to provide a contrast with the background to make sure they are easily visible, but apart from this stipulation there is scope to get creative with manifestation, meaning that the need for manifestation can be met with custom creations that give glass a stylish new look.

That was the approach taken by the client for this project, who decided that they wanted to meet manifestation needs with a bold and striking new look for a number of glass partitions and doors.

The design was a repeated geometric pattern and it was agreed the best and most stylish way of delivering the desired look would be to use Frostbrite frosted window film. As the name suggests, The Window Film Company’s frosted film gives glass the effect of frosted glass when in place, delivering a contemporary sandblasted or acid etched effect. The film is long lasting and durable which makes it perfect for use in a busy office environment.

The artwork was provided by the client, along with the sizes of each panel of glass. This allowed The Window Film Company’s print and design team to recreate the pattern to the exact sizes required, using state of the art computer cutting technology to precision cut the Frostbrite frosted film to deliver the desired design.

Each panel was then finished by hand and checked to ensure a perfect finish, before being installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified fitters, delivering a manifestation solution that also gave the office a stylish, impressive and professional new look.
