With an in-house print and graphics department that utilizes state of the art equipment and over two decades of experience, The Window Film Company is able to create eye-catching wide format graphics for almost any surface. This project saw the print and install of a stunning full colour display as part of a home refurbishment.
The graphics were commissioned as part of the creation of a home cinema room, with the client requiring a stylish solution that would not only deliver a striking appearance, but would also provide privacy.
The client was able to provide the high-resolution graphics that were to be recreated; a scene from the hit film “Heat” featuring the iconic Hollywood sign, with a stunning sunset in the background. After discussions with the client, it was agreed that the best film for the project would be Frostbrite frosted window film.
Frostbrite is a high performance, long lasting and durable window film that gives glass the appearance of acid etched or sandblasted glazing. It delivers a stylish, contemporary finish, blocking the view from both sides of the glass without sacrificing high levels of natural light. While Frostbrite frosted film looks great in its standard state, it also provides the perfect surface on which to print, allowing for the creation of bespoke, custom made privacy and decorative solutions.
The client was able to supply the artwork and the exact measuurements of the large panels; including the frame sizes. This allowed The Window Film Company’s graphics team to print the graphics at the exact size necessary, taking into account the frame sizes to ensure that the image flowed seamlessly from one pane to the next.
The graphics were printed onto Frostbrite frosted film using state of the art latext print technology, before being computer cut to ensure a precise and accurate finish.
The film was then installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert installers, applying the film to the inside face of the glass. The vibrant print meant that the image looked stunning from both sides of the glass, adding a unique and eye-catching flourish to the movie room.
