BRILLIANT BESPOKE GRAPHICS

With years of experience, state of the art print technology and a team of talented experts, The Window Film Company are able to produce large scale, eye-catching, full colour printed graphics for use on glass and walls.

This project saw the print and installation of fantastically bright and vibrant graphics to a gym facility at a Hertfordshire school, transforming the walls into a unique and inspirational feature.

With work nearing completion on the complete renovation of a fabulous gym facility, The Window Film Company were contacted by a Hertfordshire school to help turn their decorative vision into a colourful reality. The facility had two large walls that they wanted covering with something that would inspire students and provide a welcoming and stylish environment.

To create a genuinely unique appearance, the school, Longdean Academy, engaged the talented illustrator Spencer Wilson to create a bespoke design that would represent the rich sporting heritage of the school.

With the design created, the school approached The Window Film Company to decide on the best way of reproducing the artwork on the walls. Taking into account the nature of the facility, the fact that it would be busy and in frequent use, it was agreed that a long-lasting and durable solution was required. It was therefore agreed that the graphics would be printed onto high quality digital wallpaper.

The digital wallpaper used provides the perfect surface on which to print, combining with state of the art print technology to deliver a perfect, wide format, large scale reproduction of the graphics. Specially developed to be tough, the wallpaper can also be cleaned in the event of light marking or to remove day to day dust and dirt.

The graphics and the measurements of each wall were supplied by the client to The Window Film Company’s in-house graphics and print department, allowing them to create a to scale proof, taking into account elements including a set of double doors, before proceeding with the print. Each of the large panels was printed and computer cut before being checked and finished by hand.

The Window Film Company’s operations team were responsible for liaising with the contact at the school, identifying the most suitable time for the installation to take place, as well as dealing with any logistical issues. The wallpaper was then fitted by a team of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified and vastly experienced installers.

The finished project saw the facility completely transformed; the walls boasting floor to ceiling bespoke graphics, bright, vibrant colours and a tribute to the school’s ongoing success in the sporting arena.
