KEEP IT CLEAR

The Window Film Company has completed an application of Clear UV protection window film at a stylish Bed and Breakfast in Kent.

UV rays can be an issue all year round. When it combines with other elements including natural light and heat, UV can cause irreversible fade damage to upholstery, flooring and furnishing. While it is difficult to stop fading completely, by blocking UV rays, the process can be slowed down.

Fading occurs when a number of sun related factors combine. The diagram below shows a breakdown of which factors have the most effect, with UV light by far the biggest single contributing element. With the B&B seeking an added layer of protection against fading that wouldn’t adversely affect the appearance of the windows and the property, Clear UV was agreed as the appropriate solution.

Once installed, Clear UV is virtually undetectable to the naked eye, serving to block 99% of the sun’s potentially harmful UV rays without blocking the view from either side of the glass or changing the appearance of the window.

The film was fitted to over 30 panes by a team of The Window Film Company’s  experienced fitters, who ensured a perfect installation to each pane throughout the striking property.

Once installed, the film was effective immediately, providing an almost invisible layer of protection to the unseen threat of fading.

The Window Film Company offers a whole host of window films for UV protection, including specialist Amber 81 film that will block almost all UV rays, along with window films for solar control, glare reduction, safety, security and privacy.
