Window film can be used to deliver both practical and decorative solutions, with Frostbite frosted film a particularly popular and versatile solution. On this occasion, the film was used to add style and privacy to a large run of glazing in a luxury restaurant. 

The owners of the restaurant, part of a high-end development in Greater London, required a bespoke privacy solution for part of the glazing at the property, and contacted The Window Film Company for assistance. In this instance, the client was in possession of custom created artwork and they wanted this incorporated on the glass to give the windows a stylish and aesthetically pleasing new look.

The Window Film Company was able to suggest Frostbrite frosted window film as the most appropriate product for the project. The film delivers a number of benefits. Once applied, it gives glass the contemporary appearance of acid etched or sandblasted glazing, delivering a timeless, stylish appearance without the need for expensive replacement glass. This effect serves to block the view from both sides of the glass, while the film has been specially developed to allow for excellent levels of natural light transmission.

The film also provides an excellent surface on which to print, allowing for the creation of bespoke graphics for glass. On this occasion, the design was a stunning hand-drawn illustration of the London skyline, a stylish nod to the restaurant’s geographic location. Frostbite is also incredibly durable and long lasting, making it perfect for high traffic, busy areas and locations - it’s also easy to clean.

The client supplied the measurements and the graphics to The Window Film Company’s in-house print and graphics team. This allowed for the creation of a proof, before printing commenced. Printing was carried out using state of the art printer technology, ensuring the intricate design was recreated with pin sharp accuracy.

Almost 30 linear metres of film were printed and cut, being finished and checked by hand before being sent out with a team of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified and vastly experienced installation crews. The work was carried out at a time organised to ensure no impact on the operations of the busy restaurant, with the fitting team completing the project within specific times that were agreed in advance, along with any other logistical considerations by The Window Film Company’s dedicated operations team.

The completed project saw the required element of privacy added to the glass, with the look and feel of the premises complemented and improved with he addition of the stunning new graphics - an efficient and cost effective of delivering both style and privacy.
