Window film from The Window Film Company can be used for a host of different reasons. It can reduce heat, glare and fading. It can provide privacy. It can also serve to turn an uninspiring view into a thing of beauty, as this recent project illustrates.
The Window Film Company were contacted by a customer who wanted to improve the view from a particular window at their property. As it stood, the window faced a brick wall, delivering a less than inspiring sight. The customer, based in Leicestershire had a beautiful image of the extraordinarily picturesque Normanton Church and he was searching for a way to recreate this view on his glass.
Thanks to state of the art print technology and high performance window film, the Window Film Company was able to suggest and then supply an eye-catching, striking solution. The effect was achieved by printing the fabulous image, supplied by the customer, onto Frostbrite frosted window film.
Frostbrite is popular for a number of reasons. Once applied it gives glazing the look of acid-etched or sandblasted glass, providing a stylish frosted appearance without the need for expensive replacement glass. The film is as long lasting and durable as it is stylish, meaning that it is suitable for use in even the most demanding of locations, including bathrooms and shower screens, making it an ideal privacy solution for any room in your home or office. Once installed the film also allows for excellent light transmission, meaning that while it will block the view from both sides of the glazing, it won’t make it feel unnecessarily dark.
Frosted window film from The Window Film Company also provides an excellent surface on which to print, with The Window Film Company’s in-house print and graphics team utilising state of the art equipment to create perfect, bright and vibrant reproductions of images and graphics on the film surface.
This was the precise method employed for this job. The client was able to supply both the dimensions of the glass and the desired high resolution imagery, allowing for the creation of two bespoke panels, delivering the end result shown in the images on this page. The result is a totally transformed window, with the uninspiring view of a neighbouring building replaced with a stunning reproduction of what is a beautiful church in the North of England.
As well as a stunning new look, the custom created film also delivered privacy while still allowing enjoyable levels of natural light to pass through the glass.
