This project necessitated the application of a bright, bespoke set of graphics across a glass partition. The graphics were full colour and intricate, spelling out “Singapore” with a number of beautifully designed elements making up the famous Singapore skyline. The detailed nature of the graphics meant that printing them onto an optically clear film was the appropriate choice. This method means that when the film is applied to the glass, only the printed areas are visible, giving the appearance of cut graphics.
The client supplied the graphics, allowing The Window Film Company’s in-house graphics team the opportunity to print and supply a sample for approval; the sample providing an example of the vibrancy of the colours and the perfect recreation of the detailed graphics.
With approval granted, printing could commence, with care taken to set the graphics up top take account for the small gaps in between each panel of the glass partition. This attention to detail would ensure that the design flowed seamlessly across the glazing. The job was printed using one of The Window Film Company’s state of the art UV printers, ensuring a bright, vivid and accurate reproduction of the artwork.
The next phase of the project was installation. A date and time was agreed with the client by the operations team, a department dedicated to planning and organising the logistics of each and every installation. The work was then carried out by one of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified and vastly experienced fitting teams, who were required to remove some existing but redundant window film, before applying the new graphics.
The result was an eye-catching and impressive feature, delivering colour, interest and style to a previously uninspiring expanse of glass. The placement of the graphics meant that the film also met manifestation requirements; building regulations that stipulate floor to ceiling glass must be clearly visible.
