HEAT AND PRIVACY FOR AIR AMBULANCE

The Window Film Company offers a wide range of privacy solutions, each with a different appearance, with many delivering additional benefits. This installation took place in Stourbridge, at the home of the Midlands Air Ambulance charity and delivered both privacy and solar control. 

The project necessitated a product that would deliver privacy while still allowing for a view form the inside out, while the large number of windows also meant that the premises suffered from excess heat. This dual requirement meant that a reflective window film was going to be the most suitable; the reflective nature of the film serving to prevent vision whilst also bouncing away excess solar energy.

After discussions with a dedicated Account Manager, Optiview 15 was chosen for the project. The Optiview range of window films are a highly developed collection of products that have been manufactured specifically to deliver a lower level of internal reflectivity. Optiview 15 delivers 80% solar rejection, while also delivering effective daytime privacy. The mirrored exterior appearance also means that following an application, glass is given a sleek and stylish look.

The film was applied to over 40 large panes, with the film applied by one of The Window Film Company’s fully trained and qualified installation teams to the internal face of the glass. The premises remained operational throughout, with the fitting taking place with the minimum of disruption.

Once applied, the film was effective immediately. The view from the outside was blocked, while the inside was protected from the steady build up of excess heat - all without sacrificing the internal view or blocking significant natural light.
