Frostbrite frosted film delivers privacy by giving glass the appearance of sandblasted or acid-etched glass. Achieved without the need for expensive replacement glass, once installed vision is obscured from both sides of the glass, making it a stylish and contemporary way to add privacy to windows, doors or glass partitions. Frostbrite window film also provides the ideal surface on which to print, allowing for the creation of a fully bespoke solution. 

The Window Film Company were approached to carry out a print and installation job for the London office of a multinational bank. The premises had a series of large glass partitions running throughout and a privacy solution was sought. In addition, the bank wanted to use the partitions to display a London skyline image, a clear reference to the office location as well as creating an eye-catching feature from the glass.

After discussions with an account manager, it was agreed that printed Frostbrite was the most appropriate film for meeting this particular brief. The bank were able to provide high resolution versions of the artwork they wanted printed, allowing The Window Film Company’s in-house print and design team to create proofs. Care was taken to set up the graphics correctly, using the precise sizes of the partitions and the gaps between them to ensure that the imagery flowed from one large panel to the next.

With the proofs approved, work on creating each panel could commence. Each pane was just under 3 metres high, with a total of ten panels requiring film. With the artwork set up, the graphics were printed using one of The Window Film Company’s wide format UV printers. Using state of the art print equipment alongside high quality inks ensures that graphics are reproduced in crystal clear sharpness, even on a large scale. As with all print jobs, the work was carried out entirely in house, with each panel carefully checked and finished by hand before being despatched with a fitting team for installation.

The fitting was undertaken by one of The Window Film Company’s vastly experienced and fully qualified installation teams, with the work carried out at a time agreed specifically to ensure the minimum of disruption to what is a busy office at all times of the day. All installation appointments are agreed in advance, with a dedicated operations team on hand to organise every aspect of the installation from a suitable install date to logistical considerations such as access equipment.

The completed effect provided not just the necessary privacy, but also a large scale, eye-catching feature that gave the office an added element of design and style, creating an exciting and inspirational workplace for employees and an impressive, professional impression for visitors.
