Windows provide a valuable source of natural light as well as a view to the outside world, but when your property is located on a bustling street, passers-by can be treated to an excellent view too – of the inside of your premises! This can be an issue for a number of obvious reasons, and an application of window film is a straightforward and effective solution. The Window Film Company was approached to provide a suitable film for a property situated a stone’s throw from London’s famous Victoria station.

With four storeys, the elegant property boasted an array of windows that whilst key to the design and style of the property, allowed passers-by and occupants of nearby buildings an unobstructed view inside. One of the most popular films for privacy is high reflective silver. Once installed, the film delivers excellent daytime privacy with the reflective appearance of the film preventing vision from the external side of the glass whilst maintaining the view from the inside. As well as maintaining the view to the outside, the film has been specifically designed to allow for the maximum possible light transmission ensuring that privacy is achieved without sacrificing natural light.

Working samples of the film were supplied and applied to windows at the property, allowing the client to observe exactly how the film looks and behaves in different conditions.  The reflective appearance of the film provides a sleek and contemporary appearance which appealed to the client, the contrast between the film and the period features of the building making for a striking and aesthetically pleasing finish.

With the film agreed, the order was placed and a suitable installation date agreed with the dedicated Operations team. The film was then installed by one of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified fitting teams whose experience allowed them to complete the job in a quick and efficient fashion, whilst still delivering the high quality finish that is the hallmark of all work carried out by The Window Film Company.

Once installed, the building immediately began to benefit from one-way privacy, with the inhabitants able to enjoy their location, safe in the knowledge that the inside of their property was shielded from view.
