Glass partitions continue to be popular in modern offices, the glass finish delivering a stylish appearance whilst also providing a physical division between separate parts of the premises. This East London based office featured a number of glass partitions and a solution was sought for one particular partition, with an element of privacy and decoration the required outcome.
A representative from the estate agent explained the brief to an account manager at The Window Film Company, who in turn was able to offer a solution. The estate agent expressed a desire for the partition to be used to add an extra element of style and design to the office, whilst also providing an increased feeling of privacy and definition. The idea was for the partition to feature the names of some of the local areas in which the agent operated. It was agreed that the effect would be achieved by cutting the text from Frostbrite frosted film.
Frostbrite is a high quality window film that once applied gives glazing the appearance of acid-etched or sandblasted glass. This effect means vision is prevented from both sides of the glass, making it an ideal privacy solution. The film also benefits from being hard wearing and durable, making it suitable for high traffic areas such as retail outlets and offices. Another benefit of Frostbrite frosted film is that it can be computer cut to create custom patterns or designs.
The design in this case featured a range of place names, and it was agreed that this text would be cut from the Frostbrite film, creating an interesting, stylish and professional looking feature, whilst also delivering an element of privacy and definition.
The artwork was to be installed across four large panels, with a small gap in between each panel. He artwork was set up by The Window Film Company’s in-house graphics and print team, with the design carefully altered to ensure it flowed smoothly across each pane, taking into account the small gap between each panel. A proof was provided to the client which was subsequently agreed.
As with all graphics jobs, the film was prepared at The Window Film Company’s Chesham headquarters, with the design computer cut from the film, ensuring a precision recreation of the text. Each piece was then checked and finished by hand to make sure that each of the four panels was flawless and ready for installation.
The fitting was then undertaken by one of The Window Film Company’s experienced installation teams. The work was carried out during office hours, but with the minimum of disruption to what is a busy working environment. Once installed, the film gave the office an added element of style, with the film making a contemporary and professional looking feature of the partition whilst also providing a degree of privacy from one side of the partition to the other.
