Glass is a stylish and versatile material and it continues to be a popular choice for new builds and renovations. Whilst the inclusion of glass can make for a contemporary and aesthetically pleasing finish, it can also create issues such as privacy.

It was this appearance that an exclusive London restaurant required as part of a series of upgrades to the property.

Working samples of the film were sent to the restaurant management so they could observe the film in situ, allowing them to make an informed purchase decision. Once fitted the film provides the appearance of sand blasted or acid etched glass, preventing vision from both sides of the glass.

The film is long-lasting and durable, making it suitable for high traffic areas such as restaurants ensuring a hardwearing privacy solution that will also deliver a stylish appearance – vital for venues where design, aesthetic and ambience is important.

Frostbrite frosted film has the added benefit of allowing a good level of natural light through the filmed glass, meaning that whilst vision is blocked the light isn’t, ensuring that privacy is achieved without making the area feel dark or unnecessarily gloomy. Having experienced the film first hand, the restaurant owners were satisfied with the look and performance and placed an order.

With the order placed, The Window Film Company’s operations team took over. It is the job of this arm of the Company to liaise with the client to organise a suitable time and date for the installation, along with any other logistical issues. With the time and date agreed, the installation was carried out by one of The Window Film Company’s experienced fitting teams. Each team is fully qualified and has undergone extensive training, which combined with many years of experience enables them to guarantee an efficient, quick but top quality, professional finish. All film is cut on site to make sure that each panel is created to the exact measurements required.

The film was applied to the lower half of over 24 large panes of glass, providing a necessary element of privacy whilst also delivering a stylish appearance in keeping with the existing décor and ambience.
