FAB FROST FOR MAGNIFICENT MANIFESTATION

Dec 01 2023

The Window Film Company uses state of the art computer cutting technology to recreate intricate designs, text and branding from window film. One of the most popular methods is cutting patterns from Frostbrite frosted window film.

Frostbrite is a high performance, durable and stylish window film that gives glazing the appearance of acid etched or sandblasted glass, delivering both a contemporary new look, while also delivering privacy – the film will block the view from both sides of the glass without sacrificing high levels of natural light.

Another benefit of Frostbrite is that it can be computer cut to create intricate graphics and designs which can in turn be used to add a decorative element to glass or to meet manifestation requirements.

Manifestation markings are needed to make glass easily visible to the naked eye, preventing accidents and damage. The nature of the markings is set out by Building Regulations, with an application usually required for floor to ceiling glass in public places or locations such as offices. The markings must be of a minimum size and provide a contrast with the background.

This project necessitated the creation and application of manifestation markings that would also deliver an element of privacy, while also adding branded design elements to the glass. The client was able to supply the design, which was then cut from Frostbrite frosted window film by the Window Film Company’s in-house print and graphics team.

The end result was a band of Frostbrite frosted film with the cut logo repeated at set intervals, running across the central portion of a number of glass partitions and doors throughout the office. The Frostbrite added an element of privacy, while also delivering the necessary manifestation markings, while the cut logos added a stylish, decorative flourish.
