WINDOW FILM LIGHTS UP LONDON FESTIVAL

The Window Film Company has completed the print and installation of a stunning graphics display as part of the Enfield Winter Lights Festival.

The Festival showcases a range of striking displays and illuminated artworks, coming together to form a stunning array of installations throughout the main towns of Enfield, celebrating the rich heritage and culture of the area.

The Window Film Company was approached to bring to life a design by talented artist Victoria Thompson. The beautiful, vibrant design was to feature on the glass frontage of a popular local café, providing a unique and stylish appearance for visitors during the day, before being illuminated each evening to create an impressive display for passers-by.

The original artwork file was supplied to The Window Film Company’s print and graphics team, who printed the design onto optically clear window film, using a double strike print technique to ensure a suitably vibrant finish.

Having been printed using state of the art wide format printers, each of the panels was finished using computer cutting technology, ensuring that each pane was the perfect fit for the glazing. The film was then installed to the internal face of the glass by a team of The Window Film Company’s fitters, with the work taking place ahead of the café opening time.

The end result was stunning from both sides of the glass, with those inside treated to the design being illuminated by natural light, before being illuminated from the inside in the evening and becoming an integral and eye-catching part of the festival.
