EYES DOWN FOR A FULL HOUSE

The Window Film Company was delighted to print and install colourful graphics for the new premises of a Bedfordshire-based charity.

Full House Theatre is a charitable organisation, created to introduce children into theatre and the performing arts. Since being founded in 2001, the company had been operating from offices that had quickly become too small, so when the opportunity arose to move to new, larger premises that included a rehearsal space, it wasn’t a difficult decision. The Window Film Compamy were engaged to provide a bright and vibrant display for the premises’ frontage.

The new property benefits from a number of large glass panes at the front, and it was agreed that two of these should be updated to feature a colourful graphic, displaying the charity name and contact details.

After gaining an understanding of what was required and an appreciation of the location, it was agreed that the graphics, supplied by Full House Theatre, would be printed onto Frostbrite frosted window film.

Frostbrite is a long lasting and durable frosted film that when applied gives the appearance of acid eteched and sandblasted glass. It also provides an ideal surface for printing onto, allowing for the application of bespoke designs to glass and glazing. The graphics were checked and set up by The Widnow Film Company’s in-house print and graphics team, who ensured the design would flow perfectly from one pane to the next. The graphics were printed in reverse to allow the film to be installed to the internal face of the glass and appear correctly from the outside. To give the design extra vibrancy, the print was completed using a double pass technique which involves backing the printed design in white ink. This serves to make the colours look brighter and bolder.

With the film printed, cut and checked by hand it was then installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s fitting technicians, giving the new premises a memorable, impressive, playful and welcoming new look.
