HERE'S TO HOPPINESS!

The frontage of premises is the ideal place for giving potential customers a whole host of information. It might be the name of the business or something as straightforward as opening hours. It could also be something more imaginative, something that intrigues and entices the customer. Something that tells the outside world a little about what they can expect once they step inside.

A bar based in Bridport contacted The Window Film Company as they wanted to do just this. The brief was to create graphics that would clearly show the name of the bar whilst also giving a stylish and welcoming appearance. The final part of the requirement was to create an element of privacy.

The team at the bar were able to provide graphics showing exactly how they wanted the glazing to appear, allowing for a clear recommendation on the most appropriate film and print process. The intricate nature of the graphics combined with the desired effect and need for privacy meant that the best solution was to begin with an optically clear film. The film would then be printed to take on the appearance of frosted film, with the areas in which the design was required left clear. This would give the appearance of a traditional cut film, with the frosted areas providing the necessary privacy and stylish, contemporary finish.

This method also allowed for the creation of an intricate hop graphic, to take pride of place on the entrance door. By printing the design in a frosted effect onto optically clear film, it was possible to recreate the graphic in perfect pinpoint accuracy – also allowing for a more straightforward install.

As with all print and graphics jobs, the work was undertaken by The Window Film Company’s dedicated print team, who ensured each panel and each element was exactly the right size and that the frost effect created was perfect. The graphics were reverse cut to ensure that they would be installed to the internal face of the glass and readable from the outside. Once completed and installed, the printed window film panels served to deliver privacy, incorporated the name of the bar in a clear and professional fashion whilst also giving the property an added sense of style and kerbside appeal. A fantastic result all round.
