When we were contacted by the owners of a beautiful property in Colchester, we were given a simple brief. Deliver a privacy solution that will look good, won’t block natural light and won’t prevent the view from the inside out. We were happy to be able to offering of our reflective window films.

This range of high quality films gives the external face of the glass a mirrored effect during daylight hours, meaning that passers by or visitors see a reflection instead of being afforded an uninterrupted view into the property. Meanwhile, on the inside, the view remains unobstructed with natural night allowed to flood in through the glass.

Reflective window film has additional benefits too. Glare can be a year round problem, with the changing position of the sun causing an uncomfortable internal environment. It can be difficult to read or focus on screens without squinting, unwanted effects that are negated with an application of film. By blocking up to 99% of UV rays, window film will also help to dramatically slow down fading.

Samples of the film were sent to the owner of the property, who took the time to install and observe them, getting a full and first hand experience of how each product would look and perform in differing conditions and different times of day. The samples allowed a considered choice to be made, and it was decided that High Reflective Silver was the appropriate choice.

A suitable time and date was agreed with our dedicated Operations team, with an early morning start arranged to minimise disruption to the clients’ day. The work was carried out by a team of The Window Film Company’s experienced and fully trained staff, who used their expertise to deliver a flawless finish across a number of large floor to ceiling panes of glass.

The finished project resulted in an exterior appearance in keeping with the rest of the modern property, whilst the required privacy was effective immediately, allowing the owners to relax and enjoy their home.
